FLAIR Is Honoured to Gain the Only Start-Up Award at INPUT2

(Shanghai, 10 January 2024) The APEC INPUT2 (Innovating for Public Urban Technology Transformation Competition) 2024 at Shanghai International Convention Center announced the awardee list. By the first attempt to join INPUT2, FLAIR is thrilled to win the only Start-Up Award at the competition and receive the honour that recognised FLAIR’s competency to transform and commercialise our technologies.

The award-winning system, named The Intelligent Catcher, is an industrial equipment prognosis and health management (PHM) tool which uses AI, edge computing, and IIoT to monitor and detect anomalies and deviations in real-time from normal operating conditions and predict when a fault will occur. By deep learning, the system can predict remaining useful lifetime, hence can reduce losses from accidents. The system also fosters timely equipment maintenance and reduces operational downtime, allowing more sustainable use of industrial equipment.

INPUT2 (Innovating for Public Urban Technology Transformation Competition) builds on the successful INPUT1 (2020–2021 APEC Innovation for Public Transportation Competition) by extending from the transportation sector to the fields of urban development and governance. Its goal is to create a strong, secure, and sustainable growth environment by fostering Asia–Pacific connectivity, encouraging innovation and digital development, and resisting all types of crises.
